Botanical Name: Laurus nobilis

Native to: West Indies, Venezuela and the Guianas. Currently cultivated in Morocco and Spain.

Fun Fact: The Romans used bay as a symbol for wisdom and peace .

Process: Steam Distillation of the leaves.

Blends well with: clary sage EO, lemon essential oil, oil of rosemary, sweet orange and bergamot.

Bay Pure Essential Oil Uses:

  • Used extensively in soap making – just add a few drops to your favorite soap recipe.
  • To repel grain weevils and moths – gently douse a small cloth with the oil and place in problem areas.
  • Add a few drops to your bath to reduce stress, strain, and promote sleep.
