The Terracotta Smudge Bowl is approximately 6 inches in diameter and has three little feet and a handle. The Terracotta Smudge Bowl is also wonderful for burning loose sage or resin incense on charcoal.

WARNING: If you are using charcoal tablets for burning resins like copal, frankincense and myrrh, we do recommend that you use a little bit of sand in the bottom of the bowl to help prevent any damage to surfaces from the effects of heat.

I'm new to smudging so don't know whether it's a good combination or not. Wasn't sure from the instructions how to do it but checked around and found some tips. I would have liked to have sheet with more information about the process and the ways Native Americans perform the ceremony - a bit of history perhaps. I'm looking forward to using the sage in an area that needs a different cleansing than soap and water.
