Plantain Herb Extract
Having soothing properties for the mucous membranes, European research supports the use of plantain as a treatment for bronchitis, sore throat, and cold symptoms. Traditionally used to treat minor cuts and a wide range of skin disorders, including dandruff, eczema, sunburn, and bug bites. Among the more notable chemicals found in plantain is allantoin, used to stimulate healthy tissue formation, and has been used in has various cosmetics like shampoos, lipsticks, shaving creams, suntan products, bath foams, hair gels, baby powders, as well as the typical lotions and creams.
Native Americans used the abundant plant as the chief remedy for the bite of the rattlesnake, it has also been "snakeweed".
