Every Summer, during our Anniversary month of July, Taos Herb Company founder Rob Hawley takes a small group of students for a fun and fascinating day in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains surrounding Taos, New Mexico.

In this one day field trip, led by Rob Hawley of Taos Herb Company, you will learn the use of local plants as medicine and as food and their names in English, Spanish and Latin.

So, if you (as we are) disappointed in the lack of information that is permitted to be said about these products, please go to the library or search the web (be careful though, there is a lot of inaccurate information out there) and you will discover that plants were the first medicine used by human beings and they are as potent and effective now as they were before they were bad-rapped as old wives tales (those old wives were pretty smart), hippy, Indian (American or East Indian) or other degrading judgments of other culture's beliefs about healing.
