WARNING: If you are using charcoal tablets for burning resins like copal, frankincense and myrrh, you will need to put an inch of sand in the bottom the shell to prevent the shell from getting too hot and burning you or the surface under the shell.

In days of old, Frankincense was possibly the most valuable commodity in the world. Rare, precious and expensive, a gift of Frankincense was considered a great honor.Frankincense has a long history of spiritual use in prayer and meditation and is thought by some to attract positive spirits such as angels and saints and to repulse malevolent spirits.

Myrrh has also been used for centuries in spiritual practices and represents the bitterness of human suffering due to it's bitter taste. It also has a traditional use as a perfume and as an ingredient in holy anointing oil.

Burned together, these highly fragrant ancient resins have a pleasing, sweet smell, recalling memories of distant times and places.
